History
An oasis of rare beauty for a quality of life and a serenity to be experienced
Villa Rovereti Zurla is located in Domegliara – S. Ambrogio di Valpolicella. The Villa is harmoniously placed in a large architectural complex built around a court yard. Secular high trees like sentries are looking on this fascinating, typical Venetian villa of the early eighteenth century, formerly of Rovereti and then of Zurla. Detained in 1908 and 1916 by a member of the family Clara, married to Pallavicini, the residence was the scene of privileged pastoral visits by Bishop Bartolomeo Bacilieri. After the war the property was taken by Palmiro Dalla Vedova, as testified by a plaque in the chapel of the villa. The chapel San Leonardo preserved also relics of St. Ambrogio marked by a gravestone commissioned by a marquis Zurla de’ Rovereti in 1875. On the front of the Villa stands in all its glory a charming renaissance portal. Welcome to Villa Rovereti Zurla, an oasis of rare beauty, quality of life and a serenity all to be lived! Every day in Valpolicella region, Villa Rovereti Zurla. A fairy tale that never ends.
